Maze-ing Maze 282

Maze-ing Maze 282

Adopt the pace of nature: her secret is patience.
Ralph Waldo Emerson

MAZE 282: I chose this quote because of my patience with this blog.  As i’ve shared before this will be my 5th attempt at a blog.  All the previous never made it past 10 posts and none past 50 visitors.  Where as this project has 3k subscribers more than 40k page views and 282 posts.   With this blog I really felt like this was my last chance to do anything.  A do or die so to speak.  So my patience to continue during the first few weeks when was crucial.  fortunately I had some good regulars that made me feel a sense of responsibility to keep going.   I never thought I would have had more than 1000 people/pages views during the year.

I also wanted to share the good news about a project I just landed.  I have client that is starting a school that I do door to door flyers for.  Anyway I shared with them my mazes specifically letters and numbers and offered to do a mural for the school.  So I’m also looking at getting a sponsor to supply the school with some art supplies for the students.  I will also do a few pieces to donate to the school for a silent auction.

After meeting with the director I was impressed by the young guy who is so dedicated to helping the youth of Denver.  They will start with two grades and add a grade a year until 8th.  They have more hours and low child to teacher ratio.  I’m very excited with the opportunity to share my art with many youth for years to come.
