Maze-ing Maze 269

Maze-ing Maze 269

"Be brave enough to live creatively. The creative is the place where no one else has ever been. You have to leave the city of your comfort and go into the wilderness of your intuition. You can't get there by bus, only by hard work, risking, and by not quite knowing what you're doing. What you'll discover will be wonderful: yourself.--Alan Alda

Maze 269: I chose this maze because I met a few artists recently.  We were discussing what motivated us and how we liked to create.  All of them mentioned having a space, studio, room, desk or something.   The one thing that I lack as an artist is a space.  I have a drafting table that is squeezed into a corner in my bedroom.   And I only use that for my major pieces.  Most time I just need my pens, pad and flat hard surface and I can create.  During this journey I’ve done mazes in court, on the highway, at hockey practices, work, a bar, grocery store, library, the list goes on.

For a few days I was jealous of all the others because I didn’t have my own space.  But I realized that I had something more valuable  than all of them in that I had the freedom to create no matter when and where I’m at.  However it would be nice to have a place to create and store my art without worrying if someone is going to move or ruin my work.

  1. Such a true quote. Continued Success in all your work, Jay

  2. Where there’s a will; there’s a way! Can you store your supplies in or under your desk so no one can move your stuff?

  3. Thanks for always inspiring me with your creative mazes and the quotes. Today’s quote was a direct message to my soul. Keep up the good work.
